As part of its commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable recycling ecosystem, RecycleXpress is not only working alongside formal waste collectors, but also empowering informal waste pickers — individuals who have long been an unseen backbone of the waste management system.

One of the company’s key initiatives is currently taking place at ITF Bawuran in Yogyakarta, where RecycleXpress has established close partnerships with marginalized communities (400 people on progress) and individuals, including 10 local participants.

Through this program, informal waste pickers — whether they come from scavenging backgrounds or apply independently — are guaranteed to receive 100 percent of the profits from their collection efforts. This initiative reflects RecycleXpress’s vision of inclusivity, fairness, and shared growth, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.
